MIJO CNG Kits for 4 Wheelers and Cars

MIJO CNG kits for 4 wheelers cover different eligible petrol-engine applications through vehicle-matched system and component configurations.

Choose the Right CNG Kit for Your Car

A CNG kit for car use must be selected for the exact petrol engine and vehicle application. MIJO CNG kits for cars are organised into three system categories—Conventional, Sequential and Direct Injection—rather than one universal kit for every make and model.

Technical compatibility, applicable vehicle or engine approval, component selection, installation and calibration must all be confirmed before fitment. MIJO does not claim blanket approval for all vehicles.

Three CNG System Categories for Cars

1. Conventional CNG Kit

For compatible petrol vehicles suitable for a conventional gas-control system. Indicative installing-dealer fitment range: ₹30,000–₹35,000.

2. MIJO Sequential CNG Kit

For compatible petrol vehicles requiring electronically controlled sequential gas injection. Eligible MPI or port-injected BS6 and OBD2 CNG applications remain within the Sequential category when the exact configuration is supported. A supported direct-injection vehicle remains in the Direct Injection category. Indicative installing-dealer fitment range: ₹40,000–₹70,000.

3. Direct Injection CNG Kit

For selected compatible direct-injection petrol engines requiring a specialised DI CNG system and vehicle-specific calibration. Indicative installing-dealer fitment range: ₹1,25,000–₹1,50,000.

All prices are indicative dealer-fitment ranges. The final dealer quotation depends on the vehicle, system configuration, cylinder, components, installation, taxes and local requirements. Read the complete MIJO CNG kit price guide.

CNG Kit Parts and CNG Components

A complete vehicle-specific system can include a CNG ECU, reducer or pressure regulator, injector rail, gas filters, pressure and temperature sensors, changeover switch, wiring harness, filling valve, cylinder valve, high-pressure pipe, hoses and fittings. The cylinder specification and mounting arrangement must be confirmed in the dealer quotation.

  • ECUs: ME-10 leads MIJO's four-cylinder Sequential ECU range. ME-68 remains available for applicable six- and eight-cylinder coverage.
  • Reducers: Selected according to engine demand and supported system configuration.
  • Injector rails: Matched for the required gas flow, cylinder count and calibration.
  • Valves and accessories: Filling, cylinder-side and pressure-indication hardware selected for the installation.
  • DPI: DPI means Dual Point Injection and must not be confused with Direct Injection.

BS6 CNG Kit, OBD2 CNG Kit and Direct-Injection Applications

BS6 or OBD2 does not by itself identify one universal kit. The engine, ECU strategy, fuel trims, diagnostic behaviour and applicable vehicle coverage must be checked. Turbocharging alone does not determine the category: turbo-MPI is assessed as MPI, while supported direct-injection technology, including T-GDi, requires a DI solution.

For selected compatible DI applications, see MIJO Direct Drive 2.0.

What to Verify Before CNG Kit Fitting

  1. Vehicle make, model, variant, engine code and manufacturing year.
  2. Petrol-injection technology, emission standard and OBD requirements.
  3. Applicable vehicle-kit approval or homologation for the proposed fitment.
  4. Exact ECU, reducer, injector rail, cylinder and valve configuration.
  5. Installer competence, calibration, leak checks, documentation and after-sales support.

CNG Kit for Car: Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Sequential CNG kit?

A Sequential CNG kit electronically meters gas through a vehicle-matched ECU, reducer and injector configuration. Suitability, BS6 or OBD2 requirements, application coverage and calibration must be checked for the exact car.

Which CNG system is suitable for my car?

The correct Conventional, Sequential or Direct Injection category depends on the exact petrol engine, injection technology, year, variant and applicable vehicle coverage. A trained installer must verify the configuration.

Can a BS6 or OBD2 car use a CNG kit?

An eligible MPI or port-injected BS6 or OBD2 petrol application may use the appropriate Sequential configuration after the exact engine, diagnostic strategy and applicable vehicle-kit coverage are verified. A supported direct-injection vehicle requires the Direct Injection category. BS6 or OBD2 is not blanket compatibility.

Which CNG kit is best for a car?

The best-suited CNG kit is the system matched to the exact petrol engine, vehicle, year and applicable approval, with correct components and trained calibration. No one universal kit is best for every car.

What are the three types of CNG kit for cars?

MIJO groups passenger-car systems into Conventional CNG, Sequential CNG and Direct Injection CNG. Eligible MPI or port-injected BS6 and OBD2 applications use the appropriate Sequential configuration when supported; supported direct-injection applications remain in the Direct Injection category.

What is included in CNG kit parts?

Depending on the vehicle-specific configuration, CNG parts can include the ECU, reducer, injector rail, filters, sensors, switch, harness, filling valve, cylinder valve, high-pressure pipe, hoses and fittings. The dealer quote must state the cylinder and every included item.

Is every MIJO CNG kit RTO approved for every car?

No approval is universal for every vehicle. The proposed kit identification and exact eligible vehicle or engine application must be verified, together with the applicable local documentation process.

What is the price of a CNG kit for a car?

Indicative installing-dealer ranges are ₹30,000–₹35,000 for Conventional, ₹40,000–₹70,000 for Sequential and ₹1,25,000–₹1,50,000 for Direct Injection CNG. The installing dealer gives the final vehicle-specific quote.

Does the CNG kit price include the cylinder?

Not automatically. The installing dealer's written quote must state the cylinder specification, valve, brackets, filling hardware, components, labour, taxes and any exclusions.
