Direct Injection CNG for BS6 Phase I & Phase II

Why petrol Direct Injection vehicles require a dedicated CNG route, and the information MIJO needs before confirming a compatible Direct Drive 2.0 application.

Petrol Direct Injection places the original petrol injectors inside the combustion chamber. That engine architecture requires a different CNG control and calibration route from a conventional port-injection petrol engine, even when both vehicles are described as BS6.

Why Direct Injection is a separate product route

A port-injection petrol engine delivers petrol into the intake path, while a Direct Injection engine delivers petrol directly into the cylinder. The original engine-management strategy, injector behaviour and application data are therefore different.

A CNG system intended for a port-injection vehicle must not be assumed to suit a Direct Injection vehicle. Compatibility starts with the exact engine and a formally approved or technically developed application whose current status is confirmed by MIJO—not only the model name or emission label.

The MIJO Direct Drive 2.0 system anchors

MIJO's current Direct Injection CNG route is Direct Drive 2.0. Its principal control set uses KME NEVO-SKY DIRECT Model 2, paired with the SR03 Compact reducer and the yellow MIJO MIR-07 1-ohm injector rail for the confirmed application.

The complete kit includes the valves, pressure indication, filtration, pipes, fittings and installation hardware required by the confirmed configuration. The CNG cylinder is selected separately for the vehicle and installation space.

BS6 Phase I and Phase II do not identify compatibility by themselves

BS6 identifies an emissions framework, but it does not mean every vehicle uses the same engine, petrol-injection system, communication strategy or calibration. Model year alone is also insufficient.

MIJO checks the exact vehicle, engine code or engine family, phase, cylinder count and available application before confirming a Direct Drive configuration.

What to send for a compatibility check

  • Vehicle make, model, variant and manufacturing year.
  • Engine capacity and engine code where available.
  • BS6 phase and original petrol-injection type.
  • Current city or destination market.
  • Registration or application information requested by MIJO.

The correct decision is vehicle-specific

Do not buy a Direct Injection kit from a generic engine-capacity description. The ECU software, hardware combination and installation route must be available for the exact application.

A savings estimate should follow compatibility confirmation and realistic local fuel, mileage and installation inputs.
