What RC endorsement means
An RC endorsement records the approved fuel alteration in the vehicle's registration details. It does not by itself show that every mild-hybrid or Smart Hybrid model or every kit is eligible, because the permitted combination and supporting documents may differ.
Check the current requirements with the relevant registering authority before fitment, as forms, inspections and digital processes can change.
Confirm vehicle and kit eligibility
The installer should identify the exact vehicle variant, engine family, emission standard and mild-hybrid or Smart Hybrid architecture. A kit intended for a conventional petrol model should not be assumed suitable for its mild-hybrid or Smart Hybrid version.
Ask for documentation that applies to that specific combination and retain the fitment certificate, component records and invoices.
Plan for integrated diagnostics
Mild-hybrid or Smart Hybrid control, petrol injection, CNG operation and onboard diagnostics need to coexist without masking faults. Installation must not interfere with the electric-assist system, battery, cooling, wiring or protected electrical zones.
